Rapido is one of the largest bicycle taxi operators in India
India’s largest bicycle taxi operator, Rapido, has announced the launch of Rapido Auto services in 14 Indian cities in 10 states. The service will allow commuters to book three-wheel rickshaws for their daily trips from the comfort and safety of their homes. Rapido aims to standardize the pricing of services offered to motorists and customers. Rapido already offers bicycle taxi services in several Indian cities and also offers home shopping delivery services through the Rapido Store service.

Rapido is one of the largest bicycle taxi operators in India
The service will be available at metered cost with a nominal additional convenience charge. The company plans to expand automotive services to 50 cities in India by the end of 2020. This is the first phase of the launch and Rapido has already onboarded 20,000 automotive captains (driver-partners) to date. It plans to embark over half a million over the next six months and interested motorists can embark on their own by downloading the Rapido Captain app or calling the Rapido helpline.
