OUR TOUR: BRCC Auto Technology

[ad_1]

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) – There has been considerable frustration recently over the state of economic development in northern Baton Rouge. Obviously, the northern part of town isn’t thriving like the southern half, and people are getting louder and more intentional in their efforts to see more business growth happening in the area north of Florida Boulevard.

One project that clearly has the potential to boost economic enterprise in this region and across the region is the new McKay Automotive Technology Center, the cornerstone of Ardendale’s planned development. This brand new state-of-the-art training center is being developed as part of the program offered at Baton Rouge Community College.

The center will train students to become auto technicians, jobs local business leaders say are well-paid and in demand. Classes will begin this fall and you can contact Baton Rouge Community College for registration information.

It is “Our turn”. Now it’s your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, visit us on Facebook or email yourturn@wafb.com.
